LeT founder Hafiz Saeed holds rally for Masarat Alam

Laskhar-e-Tayyiba founder Hafiz Saeed is holding a rally for separatist leader Masarat Alam. Alam was arrested earlier in the day for participating in a pro-Pakistani rally in Srinagar to welcome hardline leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

Speaking in support of Alam, Saeed said, "Alam didn't raise the flag in Delhi, he raised it in Srinagar which is in Kashmir, a disputed region according to UN Resolutions. We consider the registration of a case against Masarat Alam as a case against the entire population of Pakistan."

He added, "This is not a rebellion, it's a movement for independence."
