ANI files a complaint with the Delhi Police, Economic Offenses Wing, and the Cyber Cell of the Delhi Police regarding a photoshopped tweet.

A fake tweet about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "love for Germany and German Shepherds" from news agency ANI began trending on Twitter today.

The PM began his three-nation tour on April 9, beginning with France, Germany and then Canada. His German visit ends today and the PM will leave for Canada later in the day.

So, Asian News International (ANI) tweeted: "My love for Germany goes way back. When I was a small boy in Guj, my only friend was a german shephard: PM #ModiInGermany."

Incredulous journalists asked ANI if the tweet, which in fact, mocks the PM, was genuine, which then responded said it was 'photoshopped'.

ANI then tweeted saying it would take legal action against those responsible for the prank.
