Just in: It's definitely not a happy Bihu for this Congress lawmaker. The Assam police arrested MLA Rumi Nath arrested for her alleged links with pan-India car theft racket.

Nath, the police says, has been arrested for alleged links to Anil Chauhan, who is the kingpin of an auto theft racket that operates in Mumbai and Delhi.

Nath has been under scanner over allegations that she allegedly arranged car passes of the state assembly premises for notorious car-lifter Chauhan, who was arrested by the Guwahati Police recently.

The Congress party had also issued a show-cause notice to her in this connection.
