Praising India's soldiers, PM Modi said, "India is a country that doesn't sacrifice for its people but also for other countries." He also said he was touched when he visited the World War I memorial and saluted their sacrifice. He further added, "India is a nation that has always believed in world peace."

Modi further said that it was high time that India was given a seat at the UN's Security Council. "It is time that India got its due. This is the opportunity to give the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Lord Buddha its due. We are not begging, we are seeking what is our right."
