UN's Ban wants action to prevent Syria camp 'massacre'

UN chief Ban Ki-moon called today for action to prevent a massacre at Syria's Yarmuk refugee camp after Islamic State group jihadists, known for their brutality, overran much of it.

His appeal came as 14 Palestinian factions meeting in Damascus said they would back a joint military operation with Syrian government forces against the jihadists.
