26/11 mastermind Lakhvi's release: Pakistan blames India

Indian envoy in Islamabad today met Pakistan foreign secretary to protest the release of Mumbai attack mastermind Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi.

Our high commissioner emphasised, that this is a most negative development as far as bilateral ties are concerned, the Ministry of External Affairs said.

But Pakistan in turn has put the blame on India. Inordinate delay on part of India in extending cooperation complicated Lakhvi's case and weakened the prosecution, the Pakistan foreign office said today.
