Pakistan army chief warns India

Pakistan army chief General Raheel Sharif today said "any provocation" along the Line of Control (LoC) would be responded "effectively" during his visit to the forward localities along the border.

The army chief visited Pakistani forces deployed in forward locations along the LoC near Jhelum to review the prevailing security situation in the area, an ISPR (Inter Services Public Relations) statement said.

"The entire nation is proud of the soldiers deployed in defense of the motherland", he said. 

He said any "provocation along the LoC would be responded effectively," it said.

The army chief was briefed by local commanders and expressed "satisfaction" at operational preparedness of troops.
