Kashmir floods update: Phone lines in some parts of Srinagar have been restored. Both the IAF and the Army are helping BSNL to restore mobile services, which are expected to be partially restored today.

Meanwhile, the Army has foiled and incursion attempt in Keran. Many Army bunkers along the LoC have been inundated with water and an almost impermeable covering of mud and slush.

Soldiers here have been trying to protect their weapons, ammunition and rations. The nearly 1,700-kilometre-long Line of Control is one of the world's deadliest and most heavily militarised borders.
