Municipal schools gear up for Modi's speech on Teacher's Day

Preparations are underway at the schools run by all the three BJP-led municipal corporations in New Delhi for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech on the Teacher's Day, civic officials said today. North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), which has over 750 schools under its jurisdiction, said instructions are being followed as per the Delhi government guidelines for the day.

Modi is expected to give a 'pep talk' to about 1,000 selected students at the Manekshaw Auditorium in New Delhi on September 5, which will be beamed live to over 18 lakh government and private schools in the country through Doordarshan and education channels.
