Manmohan Singh to be part of parliamentary standing committee

NDTV reports: Manmohan Singh is the first former prime minister to be a member of a parliamentary standing committee.
He is on the finance panel, headed by fellow Congressman M Veerapa Moily, who was a minister in Dr Singh's government. A parliamentary committee on Information Technology will be headed by young BJP lawmaker Anurag Thakur.
