Patna stampede: Home ministry seeks report from Bihar govt

The Bihar government has ordered a probe into the stampede at Patna's Gandhi maidan that claimed at least 32 lives. The home ministry has sought a report from that state government about the tragedy.

Dussehra celebrations at the Gandhi Maidan are the biggest in Patna and at least 50,000 people turn up every year.

The event is organised jointly by the district administration and a private organiser.
