President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Hamid Ansari too join the celebrations in Delhi's Subhash Maidan.

The PM will symbolically shoot an arrow at the Ravana effigy and it will then be set ablaze, which signifies the victory of good over evil.

The area in and around Subhash Maidan has been fortified. SPG and RAF haven been deployed. A no fly zone has been declared over the Red Fort.
