Loose cigarettes likely to be banned in India
November 25, 2014  14:34
In a major decision to curb the use of cigarettes, the Health Ministry has accepted the recommendation of an expert panel to ban the sale of loose cigarettes. The ministry has circulated a draft note on the ban.

Before a reshuffle in the Cabinet, former health minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government Dr Harsh Vardhan had favoured a complete ban on e-cigarettes and all products described as electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). He had said that such products push children towards tobacco habit eventually via nicotine dependence. -- IBN Live
