TISS student from Manipur found murdered in Delhi

In what some are considering being another hate crime against north easterners, a PhD student identified as Zingran Kengoo has been found dead in his apartment in Kotla, Delhi. The 33-year-old was a student at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in the national capital. According to the police, the victim had throat and head injuries and a knife has been recovered from his room in the apartment.

On Thursday, in another racist attack, a 25-year-old Manipuri youth was allegedly attacked by three people in Bangalore. According to 21-year-old Samuel's complaint, he was beaten by the three men when he objected to them harassing a girl. Samuel suffered severe head injuries.
