A central team will be on a three-day visit to the coastal areas in Andhra Pradesh from November 25 to assess the damage caused by last month's cyclone.

"The state government will submit a detailed report to the team for necessary action. While the state government has received Rs 400 crore out of the Rs 1,000 crore aid announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the aftermath of the calamity, we will submit a proposal seeking the remaining amount," Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu told reporters today.

Visakhapatnam was one of the worst-affected districts in the severe cyclonic storm Hudhud that had made a landfall here on October 12. On the relief work done by his government, the chief minister said an amount of Rs 255 crore was spent on the supply of essential commodities for people affected by the cyclone in districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.

"The government had solved several problems within 35 days after the cyclone," he added.
