PM Modi pays tribute to Nehru on 125th birth anniversary

On the 125th birth anniversary of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute on Twitter. The PM tweeted, "Today we mark the 125th birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. My tributes to him. We remember Pandit Nehru's efforts during the freedom struggle and his role as the first PM of India."

Recently, a controversy had erupted after the Congress did not invite PM Modi for the international event held in Nehru's memory.
