November 13, 2014  08:33
Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday will kick off the campaign for the Delhi assembly elections on Thursday on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

The function will be held at Talkatora Stadium.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will also address the party workers.

Breaking away from tradition, the party has started preparations for the polls a bit early this time even as election schedule has not been announced yet.

Delhi Congress spokesperson Mukesh Sharma on Wednesday said the presence of party chief and vice-president will certainly boost the morale of workers.

"Our senior party leaders will encourage and motivate our party workers. We will give tough fight to the BJP in the elections by putting up a brave front," he said.
