Parrikar on six cabinet committees

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar finds place in six Cabinet Committees including Cabinet Committee on Security, Political Affairs, and Economic Affairs. The revamping of Cabinet Committees come into effect once the Prime Minister approves the list suggested by the Cabinet Secretariat. And that should happen before the PM leaves for his three-nation tour tomorrow.

Modi is scheduled to leave for Myanmar tomorrow to attend the 12th ASEAN-India summit on November 12 and the ninth East Asian summit on November 13.

It will be the first leg of his three-nation 10-day foreign tour that will also take him to Australia and Fiji.
