Buzz in Parliament House is that Dr Varesh Sinha is now the frontrunner for the post of Secretary General of the Lok Sabha. Dr Sinha a close confidant of Narendra Modi, is an IAS officer of the 1977 batch who had just demitted office as Chief Secretary on October 31, 2014. Dr Sinha will assume office, if appointed, on December 1. He is expected to hold office for four years.
