EGoMs to go, 4 new Cabinet Committees to be created

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the creation of four more Cabinet Committees on the lines of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs, on Security, and on Economic Affairs. The announcement is likely to be made tomorrow. Modi has also abolished the Empowered Group of Ministers system, as adopted by the previous Manmohan Singh government.
