150 Indian fishermen released from jails in Pakistan today arrived at Ahmedabad's Kalupur railway station. The state government had made arrangements for the fishermen to travel from the Wagah border to the coastal town of Veralal. The family of each fisherman is paid Rs 150 per day from the date of his mid-sea arrest by Pakistan Marine Security Agency to the date they return.

India will release 30 fishermen and 5 civilian Pakistani prisoners today in reciprocation.

The move by India comes after bilateral talks between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif.

Pakistan had freed the 150 prisoners as a goodwill gesture a day ahead of Nawaz Sharif's visit to New Delhi.
