7/7: BJP celebrates massive win in Delhi

The Delhi BJP office wore a festive mood with party workers soaking themselves in celebrations. The state unit headquarters at 14, Pandit Pant Marg were packed with workers who raised slogans in favour of Modi and its state chief Harsh Vardhan.

Amid bursting of firecrackers and drum beats, party cadres broke into a dance.

Many party workers were seen wearing T-shirts that read 'I MODIfied India' with a picture of Modi printed on it while many others were busy applying colour on each other.

"You can see it for yourself," an elated Vardhan said when asked to respond to the poll results which indicated victory for him from the prestigious Chandni Chowk constituency.

By afternoon, BJP candidates Ramesh Bidhuri from South, Udit Raj from North West, actor Manoj Tiwari from North East, Mahesh Giri from East, Meenakshi Lekhi from New Delhi, Parvesh Verma from West Delhi constituency were maintaining a healthy lead over their nearest rivals.
