Vicky Nanjappa @ Varanasi: Congress candidate from Varanasi Ajay Rai has come up with a reason for wearing a Congress pin on his kurta. Rai told Rediff.com, "The symbol is always pinned to my kurta. This was the same kurta I was wearing the day Rahul came here. When I wore the kurta this morning I did not realise the symbol was still there. Nobody pointed it out, not even at the polling booth," says Rai.

An FIR has been filed for poll code violation against Rai. Rai said he has contacted his legal team who will respond to the notice issued to him by the election commission of India.
