Dr Murli Manohar Joshi is not being considered for this post since he's already 80 years old.

Congress which has reconciled itself to sit in the Opposition, is likely to have Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of Opposition, while the deputy leader will be Jyotiraditya Scindia if he gets elected. But Rahul Gandhi himself would prefer a woman MP like Renuka Choudhary who has the twin advantages of oratory and experience.
