Solicitor general snubs CBI boss: 'Let courts decide Lalu's case'

Solicitor General Mohan Parasaran has disagreed with Central Bureau of Investigation Director's Ranjit Sinha's advice about dropping the pending corruption cases lodged against RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Sinha had recommended that the charges against Lalu be dropped and the matter had been referred to solicitor general on the "specific" request of the CBI chief.

Lalu has already been found guilty of a case related to the fodder scam and awarded a prison term of five years. He is currently out on bail.

His party RJD recently tied up with the ruling Congress to fight the Lok Sabha polls in Bihar.

The solicitor general reportedly told the CBI boss that the "courts should take the final decision about dropping charges against Lalu".
