General V K Singh to join the BJP

Former army chief General V K Singh will formally join the BJP today.

General Singh had earlier courted controversy when he has shared the dais with BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi at an event shortly after stepping down from his post.

He has also been taking potshots at the ruling UPA and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, going on record to criticise the latter's inaction on crucial matters.
