The Malabar Hill bungalow in which Homi J Bhabha, the father of India's nuclear programme, once lived has been sold in an auction for Rs. 372 crore.

The buyer's identity has been kept under wraps. The proposal to sell the bungalow had generated a lot of angry reactions.

Eminent scientist C N R Rao, who was conferred the country's highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna, in February, had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this month, urging him to intervene into the matter and stop the bungalow's sale.-- NDTV
