Relief for N Srinivasan

The Supreme Court has refused to hear urgent bail plea against N Srinivasan.

The plea by the Cricket Association of Bihar demanded that Srinivasan should be restrained from contesting for the post of International Cricket Council chief. The polls are slated for June 27.

Nalini Chidambaram, appearing for CAB, argued that court must list the petition at the earliest otherwise Srinivasan would assume charge as ICC Chairman. Srinivasan is among 13 persons being investigated by the Justice Mukul Mudgal panel for corruption in IPL 2013.

Last week, the court had rejected a similar petition.
