PM Modi to visit Nepal in first week of August

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Nepal in the first week of August 2014, The Telegraph reported on Sunday.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have wide-ranging discussions with the Kathmandu leadership on upgrading ties. This will most likely be Modi's third bilateral visit since he took office, following Bhutan and Japan, and the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Nepal since 1997.

External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, national security adviser Ajit Doval and foreign secretary Sujatha Singh are likely to be on the delegation along with a few other ministers, sources have told The Telegraph. Read more
