Huge relief for residents of the 96 Campa Cola apartments in Mumbai. The BMC agrees to defer the demolition date to June 20. Since the rains have started in Mumbai authorities usually refrain from any demolition work during the monsoon.

Residents of Campa Cola Compound in Mumbai's up-market locality Worli have put forth a list of 14 conditions for complying with the civic authorities' notice to vacate unauthorised flats and surrender keys even as the deadline to evict flats ended on Thursday evening.

The Campa Cola Compound Residents Association's demands include that no law will ever be passed by the government to regularise illegal construction in the city.
