MHA: Situation in UP matter of concern for all of us

In other news: MoS Home Kiran Rijiju says the situation in Uttar Pradesh is a matter of concern for all of us. UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav yesterday accused the media of highlighting rape cases only in Uttar Pradesh and ignoring those happening in other states.

Akhilesh said, "These incidents are not happening only in Uttar Pradesh. If you go online, you will find that such cases are reported elsewhere too. Did the national media highlight those incidents?"

The United Nations on Monday condemned the gang rape and murder of the two girls in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district and called for immediate action against the perpetrators and to address violence against women across India.
