The House has been adjourned for the day. The Lok Sabha will meet tomorrow at 11 am. Kamal Nath said that the country deeply mourn the loss of Gopinath Munde. Munde was sworn-in as the Pro-tem Speaker today.

He said that the Congress will be a constructive opposition to the government. He said he has served Parliament for three decades and is an MP from Chindwara in Madhya Pradesh.

For the first time in the history of Indian Parliament, Kamal Nath, who has been sworn in as pro-tem Speaker will be the only member of the Lok Sabha for the next 24 hours. Under normal circumstances, a pro tem Speaker is sworn in by the President and an hour later, the Lok Sabha is convened and the newly-elected 545 members are sworn in. But today, because of Union minister Gopinath Munde's death, the Parliament was adjourned. The new members are likely to be sworn in on June 5.
