Gopinath Munde's body flown to Latur from Mumbai

The mortal remains of Gopinath Munde have been brought to Latur from Mumbai by a special aircraft.

BJP leaders Prakash Javadekar and Rajiv pratap Rudy are present at the Latur airport.

Senior Maharashtra leaders Udhhav Thackrey, R R Patil and Chaggan Bhujbal have left Mumbai to attend the funeral

A number of people have gathered at the grounds of the Vaijnath Sugar Factory in Beed where Munde will be cremated.

Munde's body will be kept for antim darshan at Parli from 9 am onwards and the funeral will take place after 2 pm.

His daughter Pankaja, a BJP MLA, is expected to perform the last rites.
