Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) hikes power tariff. It's a  8.32 per cent hike across Delhi and 9.52 per cent hike in areas that come under NDMC. DERC says the hike is marginal and the effect will be very minimal on domestic consumers. The bill is likely to fall for those consuming less than 800 units, but a steep rise in bill for those consuming above 800 units. Electricity up to 200 units will hike by 10 paise, 200-400 slab will see hike of 15 paise and 400-800 slab will see hike of 50 paise/unit, says DERC.
