Tapas Pal's 'rape' remarks: Now Trinamool blames media

The Trinamool Congress under attack over its MP Tapas Pal's remarks where he threatened to kill and rape CPI-M workers in West Bengal has now blamed the media.

Earlier, party boss and Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had refused to comment on the issue, however stating that TMC doesn't tolerate violence and obscenity and would act against people who indulge in violence.

Reports suggest that Union home ministry has now sought a report from the West Bengal government over Pal's statement.
