Telangana: As deadline ends today, Andhra CM likely to quit

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy strongly opposed the proposed bifurcation of the state yesterday.

As the January 23 deadline set by President Pranab Mukherjee for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly to return the state Bill on Telangana ends today, sources say that he is likely to quit and float his own party.

A public notice was issued in a couple of local dailies in Hyderabad about a new political party to be registered as Samaikya Praja Vani (United People's Voice) yesterday, reports The Indian Express

This new party is likely to be the one launched by the Andhra CM.


Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday stoutly opposed the proposed bifurcation of the State and said it would be detrimental to all regions.
