Yeddyurappa's formal comeback into BJP today
January 09, 2014  09:15
A week after the merger of Karnataka Janata Paksha chief BS Yeddyurappa with the Bharatiya Janata Party, the former CM is all set to rejoin the party on Thursday.

After getting nod from BJP last week in the national capital, state party leaders had met Yeddyurappa in Delhi and had asked them him to decide a date for his formal return to the party.

However, sources in BJP's central leadership had said that his return to the party fold will be unconditional and Yeddy will not contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

But, the return of BJP's 'khaas man' into the party may further boost the political fortune of BJP. Yeddyurappa had walked-out of the party in 2012 alleging betrayal.

However, as per the BJP sources, after formally accepting back the ex-CM into the party, Yeddy may be fielded from the Shimoga Lok Sabha Cnstituency.
