Military will defeat all threats to Pakistan: Army chief

Amid increased military strikes against the Taliban, Pakistan army chief General Raheel Sharif today said the armed forces would defeat "every threat" to the country.

He reiterated the resolve of the armed forces and said that with the backing of the nation, "We will accomplish our mission of defeating every threat to our motherland in accordance with the expectation of the people of Pakistan," a statement released by the military here said.
