Early trends: Close contest between BJP, PDP in J&K

The first leads have started trickling in for the assembly elections held in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand over five phases.

Early trends show the Bharatiya Janata Party and Peoples Democratic Party neck-to-neck in Jammu and Kashmir. PDP is so far leading in four seats and BJP in three out of the 87 seats in the state.

In Jharkhand, BJP is leading in five, JMM one and Others one.
