A woman in New Delhi who had complained about Uber driver Shiv Kumar Yadav to the popular app-based taxi service a week before he allegedly raped a passenger, responded to the Delhi Police by e-mail, seeking legal opinion on how to take forward her complaint against Uber.

The Delhi police is now preparing a detailed reply and are going to tell her that if she wants she can file a complaint via email, say sources.

On Wednesday, Delhi police approached Nidhi Shah on Twitter asking her to file a complaint against Yadav. Shah had in a series of tweets complained about Yadav staring at her when she had travelled with him.
