Newly-elected Lankan Tamil MPs to visit India

A correspondent from Delhi reports: The external affairs ministry will extend warm welcome to 34 newly elected Tamil legislators from Sri Lanka. 

The MEA will ensure that their 20-day visit goes off smoothly, and they are accorded heavy security detail.

These MLAs are also likely to visit Tirupathi and other well-known Lord Muruga temples in Tamil Nadu 

A special section is now being created in the National Security Advisor Office to liaise with the state governments and finalise appointments with Indian VVIPs
