Rajnath Singh cancels Muzaffarnagar visit

BJP President Rajnath Singh has cancelled his scheduled visit of riot-hit Muzaffarnagar in western Uttar Pradesh, after the district magistrate urged him not to visit the communally sensitive region.

Meanwhile, Sangeet Som, BJP MLA from UP, was today served with an arrest warrant over his alleged role in the Muzaffarnagar riots, reports CNN-IBN.

Som has been accused of circulating a hate video a few days before the riots broke out.
