Cong, BJP both to blame for poor state of country: SP

Samajwadi Party today slammed the two major political parties in the country, alleging that while the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre was responsible for the economic troubles plaguing India, opposition BJP was fomenting communal strife aimed at dividing the people.

"The country is passing through a serious economic crisis and, due to the wrong policies of the Centre, the situation has worsened over the last three years," stated the resolution tabled at SP's two-day national executive meet by the party's national general secretary, Ramgopal Yadav.
