Live! Temple stampede: MP CM visits injured in hospital, toll 109

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan visits the injured at hospitals in the state in the aftermath of the catastrophic stampede.

At least 115 people were killed and over 100 injured in a stampede during Navratri festivities near a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Datia district.

The state government ordered a judicial inquiry into the mishap, which was a shocking re-run of the tragedy at the same site in 2006, when 50 pilgrims were killed.Datia district's Chief Medical Officer R S Gupta said autopsies on the 109 bodies were conducted till late Sunday night.
