Live coverage of speeches on TV may be restricted to 30 minutes

Buzz is that the Group of Ministers on Media is expected to decide whether live coverage of election speeches from December 2012 to May 2014 will be curtailed to 30 minutes. Is this a strategy to cut down on the uninterrupted coverage of Narendra Modi's speeches which run on for over 90 minutes.
