It was a long journey for Dr P Sanjay and his family from Goa to Thiruvananthapuram. The family was booked on a 7:35 am flight from Goa to Thiruvananthapuram via Chennai on October 13.

At 3:15 am he got a call from the airlines saying his flight was delayed by 22 hours. His family had to leave at 6:30 am to Bengaluru from where they would be flown to Thiruvananthapuram at 8:20 am. They reached Bengaluru at 7 am to be told that the flight to Trivandrum was full. So, they were sent to Chennai by a Jet Konnect flight at 10:25 am.

From Chennai they were to take a 5:35 pm flight to Thiruvananthapuram, but they were sent back to Bangalore at 5:30 pm.

They finally flew to Trivandrum at 8 pm. The family then took a train to Kanyakumari from Thiruvananthapuram. Such a long journey, indeed!
