Top Tibetan monk killed in China

A well-known Tibetan monk, who founded the first Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Europe, has been killed in southwest China's Chengdu city. 

According to local police, 73-year-old Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche was stabbed to death along with his nephew and their driver in the city's Wuhou district. 

Three suspects, all ethnic Tibetans, have been detained by police, Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post quoted a police statement as saying. Police said a monetary dispute caused the altercation.
