Maoists plan to use teenagers in school uniform to target Chhattisgarh polls

Update on the Chhattisgarh polls. The state administration faces a big challenge as the state goes to the polls today amid unprecedented security.

Intelligence inputs suggest that Maoists are likely to use teenagers dressed in school uniform to target security forces while cadres posing as voters could attack polling booths.

The inputs, received in the run-up to the polls, say women cadres of CPI (Maoist) have been carrying out surveillance on force movements and poll arrangements.

The Maoists are also said to be sitting on a stockpile of more than 20,000 kg of explosives that could be used to target political cavalcades and security forces. Read the full story here.
