Maken orders CBI probe into housing schemes

Ajay Maken, the Union Minister of Housing and Poverty Alleviation, has ordered a CBI probe over the allegations by the allottees of the Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation about the alleged dwelling units constructed with poor quality, mismanagement and misappropriation of funds and the inordinate delay in completing housing projects in Chennai, Visakhapatinam and four other places.

Maken has won the confidence of 2482 allottees in various places by ordering a CBI probe. Another measure to up Congress vote share.
