Mirwaiz slams National Conference, PDP

Separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today said the ruling National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir should learn a lesson from the DMK, which had quit the UPA government at the Centre on the issue of rights of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

"If the NC is serious about its opposition to Afzal Guru's execution, what stopped it from withdrawing support to the UPA," asked the chairman of the moderate faction of the Hurriyat Conference.

"What stopped Omar from recalling Farooq Abdullah from the (Union) Cabinet," asked Mirwaiz.
